Rebel Wilson has opened up to fans about an experience unfortunately many can relate to: fertility struggles.

Wilson, 41, took to Instagram Sunday to reveal that she received some "bad news" related to her fertility. The "Pitch Perfect" star said she decided to share it on social media because she had no one to talk to and that she is keeping positive regarding her situation.

"I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with...but I guess I gotta tell someone," Wilson wrote on Instagram. "To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya."

"The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense...but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds," she added.

Wilson didn’t share any other further details regarding her struggles. But her fellow celebrities and followers showed their support to the actress by leaving encouraging messages in the comments section. Some said they could relate to her and shared their own experiences.

"Been there repeatedly," Sharon Stone commented, adding, "There is good news I have three beautiful sons."

"So sorry my love. Been through it," Alexis Knapp wrote with broken heart emoji.

"Sending you love Rebel," Jillian Bell added.

"Your vulnerability is inspiring. I hope these droves of supportive messages raise your chin just a little. The dark clouds are only temporary," a follower commented.

Wilson said in an Instagram Live in December 2020 that aside from achieving her goal weight of about 165 pounds, she was also "freezing my eggs."

"As all good career women out there should know, you know, if that's something that interests you, it's a pretty good time to do," she was quoted by E! News as saying. "And getting to 40 is kind of leaving it even a little too late. It's better to do it a bit earlier if you can."

"So, I was thinking fertility and having quality eggs in the bank. I was like, 'OK, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna get healthy,'" she added.

The "Hustle" star decided to "fully change" her entire lifestyle last year, and it wasn't easy because it had been a 20-year journey for her.

"I always wanted to be healthier," she explained. "But I either just felt like I didn't have the time or felt like, oh, well, making a lot of money being bigger, you know it's part of my comedic persona in a lot of ways. So I would question, sometimes I would lose a few kilos but then I'd gain it back."

Wilson had documented her weight loss on Instagram. In November 2020, she finally achieved her goal weight.

"Hit my goal with one month to spare! Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg’s," she wrote on her Instagram Story.
