'Red Dead Redemption 2' To Become Available On Many PC Storefronts Soon
Rockstar Games has recently confirmed that it will be releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2" on PC in November. The hit Wild West-themed open-world RPG will be available on its own Rockstar Games storefront, Google Stadia and Steam. However, its release on these storefronts may not be simultaneous.
According to the official Rockstar Games Twitter, the game will be released on PC this coming Nov. 5. It’ll be available first on its own online storefront, the Rockstar Games Launcher. Early adopters of this storefront are offered a free copy of "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas." Other storefronts said to share this release date will be Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, GameStop, and Humble Store according to the official Rockstar Games site.
Pre-orders for this one year old game will also be available on October 9 until October 22. Purchasing this package will also include some other Rockstar titles thrown in along with the “Red Dead Redemption 2” in-game DLC.
Like its console counterpart, “Red Dead Redemption 2” will also have its online multiplayer mode, “Red Dead Online” too.
Later in November, the game would also be available in the game streaming platform, Google Stadia. It’ll be part of the streaming platform’s launch titles. Users would be able to experience this large, open-world AAA title without installing its humongous 88.57 GB file size. However, Stadia players may need a stable internet connection to access the game.
As for its Steam release, the game will be available on Valve’s storefronts on December. Since the game is just released on the platform, it may not be part of Steam’s holiday sales where games can be bought for reduced prices up to dirt cheap costs depending on its discount.
Since its release last October 2018, many fans believed it to be a console exclusive that’s only available to the Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With this release, PC fans can now enjoy another of Rockstar Games’ best series.
Other titles to make itself not exclusive to consoles anymore are David Cage’s games such as “Detroit: Become Human” and “Heavy Rain.” These titles are currently available on the Epic Games Store after spending most of its years as a PlayStation exclusive.
