‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ PC: New Story Mode Content, Pre-Order Details, Bonuses & More Revealed

Finally, Rockstar Games officially announced that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is releasing on the PC port. The rumors of the game’s PC version have been plaguing the Internet for quite some time, but Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar executives have been very reserved about it. In addition to this great news, there are additional contents and other freebies that PC gamers will be able to enjoy.

New Contents in “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC

“Red Dead Redemption 2,” the Wild West action-adventure game, is one of the most ambitious open-world projects of Rockstar Games narrating the story of the Van der Linde gang—the outlaws trying to make something out of their lives in a fast-changing world. According to the game developer, the PC version of the game will feature various improvements to take advantage of the platform’s hardware. Those who have capable PC will experience technical and graphical enhancements for increased game immersion.

Beyond the visually enhanced version of “Red Dead Redemption 2,” PC gamers will also enjoy the new content in the game’s story mode. This includes new bounty hunting, gang hideouts, missions, weapons, and more. Additionally, “Red Dead Online” will also be available along with all the contents that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers enjoy.

While the Pc version of “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be available through various PC retailers, it will not be initially available on Steam. Steamers will be able to get their hands on the game in December. Pre-orders will be available on Rockstar Launcher starting October 9 and will come with a plethora of bonuses if gamers purchase it by October 22.

Gamers can get the PC version of “Red Dead Redemption 2” if they have already installed the Rockstar launcher. Pre-ordering the game will net gamers with a couple of titles where they can choose from the selection provided by Rockstar. The selection includes “Grand Theft Auto III,” “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City,” “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,” “Bully: Scholarship Edition,” “LA Noire: The Complete Edition,” and “Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition.”

According to the game developer, those who pre-order the PC version of the game are entitled to get free upgrades for “Red Dead Redemption 2” premium editions such as the “Red Dead Redemption 2” Special Edition and “Red Dead Redemption 2” Ultimate Edition. Also, gamers who want to purchase these premium issues can get a price slash of $20 from their retail prices.

On top of that, whichever version you pre-order will entitle you to pre-order bonuses. This includes the Outlaw Survival Kit for the game’s, warhorse, cash bonus, and treasure chest fro the game’s story mode along with 50 Gold bars for “Red Dead Online.” “Red Dead Redemption 2” Pre-order through Epic Games Store, Humble Store, Green Man Gaming, Gamestop, and other PC retailers will begin on October 23.

“Red Dead Redemption 2” will also be a launch title for Google Stadia on November 5.
