Reese Witherspoon to marry again

The Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon, 34, got engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth during the Christmas weekend, reports People.com. The Witherspoon and Toth are the latest to join the long list of Hollywood engagements that have taken place this Christmas.

The How do you know actress started dating Jim Toth, 40, in January after she broke up with Jake Gyllenhaal. The actress was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she had two children, now 11 and seven years old. She divorced in 2008.

Witherspoon’s rep has confirmed to US Magazine that the pair are extremely happy and so are her children about the engagement.

Toth works as an agent at the Creative Artists Agency where Witherspoon is a client. Jim does not directly represent Reese.

Witherspoon, won the Academy Award in 2006 for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.

The news follows a string of celebrity engagements including that of Natalie Portman to choreographer Benjamin Millepied. They are even expecting a baby together.

The 84-year-old Playboy tycoon Hugh Hefner also recently proposed to girlfriend Crystal Harris, a former Playmate of the Month .

Eddie Cibrian got engaged to singer LeAnn Rimes.

Other celebrities basking in the Christmas joy are Alanis Morissette, Canadian-born singer songwriter, who gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, on Christmas Day.

British pop superstar Elton John and his partner David Furnish also became parents of a baby boy, born on Christmas Day to a surrogate mother in California.
