Reese Witherspoon Reacts To Daughter Ava Phillippe's Rare Photo With Boyfriend Owen Mahoney

Reese Witherspoon appears to be supportive of her daughter Ava Phillippe's relationship with her boyfriend based on her sweet reaction to a rare photo of the couple.

On Monday, Phillippe shared on Instagram a picture of her and her beau Owen Mahoney at Austin Bat Bridge in Texas. In the snap, she sports a red polka dot dress and is all smiles as she poses with her boyfriend, who is sporting a light blue polo shirt.

"the bats were feeling shy…so here’s a pic of us instead," the 21-year-old wrote in the caption.

Phillippe's post did not go unnoticed to her mom. The "Big Little Lies" star commented on the photo with a heart-eye emoji, adding, "These two."

Meanwhile, some Instagram users said they thought that Ava's parents, Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, were in the photo, noting that the young woman looked like her mom while her beau resembled a younger version of the actor.

"Totally Reese and Ryan!" one commented. "1000000% thought it was ur mom and dad lol," another added.

This is far from the first time that Ava's resemblance to her mom has become a topic of discussion. The "Morning Show" star previously shared a hilarious story of her son mistaking Ava as their mom at home.

"The kids all have funny and unique relationships with each other. Ava is like another parent to Tennessee, like his other mother," Witherspoon told Southern Living in 2017. "I think sometimes he even gets confused -- he told Ava 'Happy Mother's Day!'"

Ava and Witherspoon share a tight bond as mother and daughter. Last month, she shared a snap on Instagram on Mother's Day of the "Legally Blonde" actress holding a sign that reads "Best Mom" with an arrow pointing up to her.
