‘Reigns’ Update: Steam Achievements, 100 New Cards And A Bug?
Devolver Digital, known for “Enter The Dungeon,” “Shadow Warrior,” “Brofoce” and many other games, has rolled out a new update for its 2016 strategy game “Reigns.” The update comes with 100 new cards and it also activates all achievements on Steam.
On Thursday, Devolver took to Twitter to promote the new update for the game. The latest update is free for all supported platforms. Thus, players accessing the game on Android, iOS, Windows, Mac OS and Linux will be receiving the update when it becomes available to their region.
The biggest present to players with this update is the introduction of 100 new card games. Devolver also teased that players will be getting a new character, three new deaths, one fake elephant and five new objectives with the free update.
The game’s developer, Nerial, also admitted that there is now a bug in the game that makes it “super easy” for players to gather all of the cards. It then shared an instant fix for this bug which is done by resetting the progress. To do this, one should press R for five seconds.
On Steam, Devolver shared that the main plot of “Reigns” is slightly easier to solve now, adding that the game itself should be slightly less repetitive. Lastly, we learned via Nerial’s interaction with fans on Twitter that the update makes it possible to do all the achievements on Steam.
The official description of “Reigns” reads: “Sit on the throne as a benevolent (or malevolent) medieval monarch of the modern age and swipe your royal controller either left or right to impose your will upon the kingdom. Survive the seemingly never-ending gauntlet of requests from your advisors, peasants, allies, and enemies while maintaining balance between the influential factions of your kingdom. But beware; each decision you make might have implications and unfortunate consequences down the road that could put your reign and family’s dynasty at risk!”
“Reigns” was launched on Aug. 11, 2016. Last December, the game reached a milestone by selling a million copies.
