In the five years since “Game of Thrones” first premiered on HBO, it has become one of the most watched television series’ in history. Week after week hundreds of thousands of viewers tune in for its quality storylines, complicated relationships and bloody battles.

Spoilers for Season 7 suggest it’s going to be one of the most over the top installments to date — filled with shocking revelations, dragons and, as is always the case with “Game of Thrones,” deaths. Thronies will have to wait several more months to find out for themselves whether that’s true, which has left them with two choices: scour the internet for spoilers or revisit early episodes of the show.

While “Game of Thrones” has been great since it began in 2011, Seasons 6 of the series was especially good. With the show nearing completion writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were tasked with packing in as much as they could before the last two seasons, which will be significantly shorter than those prior. What they came up with was brilliant.

Season 6 picked up right where the last left off. Jon (Kit Harington) is dead and Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham), who later became his right hand man, has to pick up the pieces. Melisandre (Carice van Houten) was eventually called in to bring Jon back to life. Meanwhile, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) has just run through the woods to escape her husband, Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). She was determined to get to Jon where she thought she’d be safe. Together, she and Jon decided to take on Ramsay and take back their home, but their quest was not without it’s challenges.
