Remember What Happened To Claire Temple In ‘Luke Cage’ Before She Returns In ‘Iron Fist’
The Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t require you to watch any other projects, but it’s always more fun when you know more about the characters. While “Marvel’s Iron Fist” isn’t jam-packed with crossovers, Claire Temple will be appearing. The night nurse has appeared in all the Marvel/Netflix series, so fans might want to remember what last happened to her.
Claire Temple was introduced as a nurse in “Daredevil” Season 1. After helping Matt (Charlie Cox), she knew that she had to aid Luke (Mike Colter) when Jessica (Krysten Ritter) brought him into the hospital in “Jessica Jones” Season 1. She went with Jessica and Luke when they had to escape the hospital and helped Luke recover from a gunshot wound to the head.
Unfortunately, helping superheroes isn’t great for her career. She quit her job in “Daredevil” Season 2 after refusing to accept that the hospital blamed a death on a junkie rather than reporting the crimes of the Hand. Her employer blacklisted her from working at any other hospital in New York.

That left Claire with one place to go: home. She moved back in with her mother in Harlem during “Luke Cage” Season 1, and she decided that she wants to help superheroes like Daredevil. Harlem also happened to be Luke’s new neighborhood.
When she ran into Luke again, she wanted to help him. Just hours after reuniting with Cage, they found a dirty cop with a bullet wound who needed Luke and Claire’s help in order to expose Cottonmouth.
Claire aided Luke in any way she could. She came up with getaway cars and found a specialist to work on the wounds from bullets designed to pierce Luke’s skin. She took him to Georgia to dig into his past and find out how he received superpowers during experiments on prisoners. Claire is pretty much the go-to woman for anything superhero-related. As the most dependable person that he can be completely honest with, it isn't surprising that Luke and Claire started to have feelings for each other.
Unfortunately, Claire couldn’t save Power Man from the law. His criminal past came back to haunt him at the end of “Luke Cage” Season 1. Claire shared a romantic kiss with him before the cops took him off. Claire, meanwhile, is shown moving on with her life in New York. She pulls a tab off a flyer for self defense classes. Colleen Wing is the instructor.
That gives “Iron Fist” audiences a good hint about where they’ll see Claire again. Colleen (Jessica Henwick) is going to be a big help to Danny Rand (Finn Jones), and she’ll quickly befriend Claire. It won’t be long before her friends meet each other.
“Marvel’s Iron Fist” follows Danny, who was presumed dead, as he returns to New York after many years studying with monks, learning to harness the power of the Iron Fist. He wants to take back his father’s company and eliminate corruption. If there’s anything we’ve learned from the previous Netflix/Marvel series, it’s that he is going to need some help taking on all the corruption in this city.
All episodes of “Iron Fist” premiere Friday on Netflix.
