Smallest Frog Species Found in New Guinea Aren’t Expert Climbers

Two small frogs found in southeastern New Guinea are said to be the world's smallest, measuring about 0.4 inches or 8 to 9 millimeters in length. They belong to a group that has small fingers and so they are not expert climbers. The two species, Paedophryne dekot and Paedophryne verrucosa, are also the world's smallest tetrapods. Tetrapods are four-limbed animals that have backbones. They include amphibians, reptiles and mammals to name a few.

The body of a cleaning woman was found in a shed at the home of Nordine Amrani, the man suspected of carrying out Tuesday's grenade and gun attack in Liege, Belgium, authorities said. Liege prosecutor Daniele Reynders on Wednesday told the media that the woman was in her forties and that her body was found during a search of Amrani's house.

Tommaso was a stray cat that Maria Assunta found and took care of because of her love for animals. Now, Tommaso is considered the world's richest cat and the third richest animal. Assunta died at age 94 last month and Tommaso inherited the entire family fortune of $13 million (Euro $10 million), according to the Guardian.
