Retailers Extend Hours For Last-Minute Holiday Shoppers: Super Saturday Store Hours Complete List

With the final days leading up to Christmas here, Saturday is expected to be the biggest shopping day of the year. Super Saturday or Panic Saturday as the day is known is the last weekend day before Christmas Day arrives and the day that many shoppers will descend on retailers in force to get those last-minute gifts for their friends and family.

According to the National Retail Federation, as many as 147.8 million people will shop on Super Saturday, up from the 134.3 million recorded in 2018. Super Saturday is expected to be so large that it will rival Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday combined, according to the Federation.

“While many people started holiday shopping early, those who waited until Thanksgiving weekend are feeling the pressure due to the limited number of days this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said in a statement.

“But there is still time to catch up. The last Saturday before Christmas has become the biggest shopping day of the year, and we expect an impressive turnout by procrastinators and those who just want to take advantage of really good deals,” he added.

With Super Saturday expected to draw large crowds both in-store and online, many retailers have responded with extended hours to help consumers stock up on their Christmas purchases. Retailers are also banking on a strong finish to the holiday shopping season to increase sales into the fourth quarter.
