‘Revenge’ Stars Emily Van Camp And Josh Bowman Welcome First Child Together
‘Revenge’ actors Emily VanCamp and her husband Josh Bowman welcomed their first child, baby girl Iris, into the world.
“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” actress VanCamp shared the exciting news of her daughter’s arrival via a black-and-white Instagram post.
“Welcome to the world our sweet little Iris _ Our hearts are full _ ” the 35-year-old actress wrote in the post along with a photo of her Iris’ tiny fingers wrapped around her fingers.
Another picture appears to be a throwback shot from her pregnancy days that shows VanCamp sharing a loving kiss while her husband caresses her baby bump.
Yet another photo shows the actress flaunting her baby bump happily.
As soon as the “Resident” star shared the news, fans and friends were quick to send in their warm wishes.
Their “Revenge” co-stars celebrated the news by sending love and blessings to the couple and their newly born baby.
Ashley Madekwe responded to the post with “Yay!” followed by heart emojis while Merrin Dungey replied, “Oh I’m so happy for you all!!”
Elena Satine also shared a brief note, writing, “I’m so happy about this!!!”
Several other actors, including "NCIS: Los Angeles" star Daniela Ruah, "Shazam!" actress Marta Milans and VanCamp’s "Resident" co-star Jenna Dewan also celebrated the birth of VanCamp’s first child.
VanCamp and Bowman first met on the set of their 2011 show “Revenge” where they played each other's love interest. The ABC drama wrapped up in 2015 after four seasons and by that time the couple had already been dating for four years.
They got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot in the Bahamas in December 2018. The couple is known to keep their personal life away from the prying eyes of media, in fact, they did their best to hide the pregnancy up until the last moment.
“He did good,” the “Everwood” actress had told Entertainment Tonight about the proposal at the time. “We were in nature on a hike kind of doing what we do, it was very, sort of, us. So yeah, it was great, beautiful.”
Back in April, the “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” actress spoke to People about spending lots of free time with her husband during the lockdown.
"I was coming off of doing two jobs at the same time — I was doing The Falcon and Winter Soldier and The Resident, sort of burning the candle at both ends," VanCamp told the magazine.
"So the beginning [of lockdown] was very welcome. I was like, 'Okay, I actually get to just sleep for a bit,' which was amazing. Just being able to enjoy the quiet, enjoy my husband and my dog, enjoy being home, things that I hadn't had for a really long time. I did not take that for granted at all. I loved every second of it."
"I don't think we'd ever spent that much time together ever in 10 years we've been together. We definitely discovered what it's like to just be together all the time, good and bad," VanCamp laughingly told People. "I think it put a lot of relationships to the test and I think we're very lucky, we like each other a lot."
