Before Meghan Markle became the wife of Prince Harry, mom of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Duchess of Sussex, she was an actress who starred as Rachel Zane on USA Network’s recently-ended “Suits.”

Apparently, near the end of her time acting on the show, Prince Harry’s love had an MI-5 agent protecting her on set.

Wendell Pierce, who played Markle’s father on “Suits,” which just aired its series finale last month, opened up to Extra about the Duchess of Sussex last year while promoting his Amazon series, “Jack Ryan.”

Aside from speaking about her and her husband in a general sense, he also revealed the former actress had quite the bodyguard when she was still working on the USA series.

“She is really wonderful,” Pierce said. “I actually didn’t believe it was real, then all of a sudden I turn around and there is this guy from MI-5 on set every day… The one thing that was clear, she was extremely happy… She had a glow. I knew she was in love… With the whirlwind of publicity and the world of being a royal now, the one thing that’s constant is the fact that I know she loves him.”

While Markle is retired from acting, Pierce can next be seen in Season 2 of his Amazon drama, “Jack Ryan,” when it releases on Nov. 1.
