‘RHOA’ Star Shereé Whitfield Hints Kim Zolciak, Nene Leakes May Fix Friendship
The premiere of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 10 is still days away, but the drama between cast members Kim Zolciak and Nene Leakes continues to unfold. After Nene accused Kim of being racist for a video insinuating she has cockroaches in her home, their Bravo co-star, Shereé Whitfield, doesn’t know if the ladies will ever be able to reconcile.
While speaking to People, Shereé, who is good friends with Kim, revealed that she hopes Kim and Nene can move on from the incident. “I want to believe that they can get past this, but there was so much said and done — I’m not sure they’ll ever be where they were before,” she said.
“I just want them to be cordial!” the star added.
Kim and Nene’s feud began in early October when the “Don’t Be Tardy” star’s daughter, Brielle Biermann, shared a Snapchat video revealing bugs crawling around in Nene’s bathroom.
After the post, Nene slammed Kim and her daughter, also accusing the 20-year-old of being racist. Kim defended her offspring and accused Nene of trying to garner attention.
“It’s so sad and offensive that someone can stoop so low as to call someone a racist just because they are mad. Everyone in my life knows that I am far from racist and unfortunately NeNe Leakes has tried for the last 10 years to paint that picture because that’s her last resort (It’s convenient that I’m not racist when we are getting along),” Kim wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
Shereé hinted that Kim and Nene’s history as veteran cast members may play a part in the women coming together and ending their feud. “Again, we’re O.G.s and we started this platform [in Atlanta] all together,” she explained.
However, the star confessed that Kim was not happy with the way Nene handled the situation. “She’s holding her head up,” Shereé said.
“She was definitely very upset and not happy with some of the comments that were made about her and her family, but she’s holding up,” the star added.
Only time will tell if the two women will be able to come to an understanding and let go of the past. Fans can watch the drama play out when “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 10 premieres on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
