'RHONJ' Husband Joe Giudice Posts Cryptic Message Amid Deportation Appeal
It's been about two months since Joe Giudice made his way to Italy, and it seems he's already feeling a bit homesick.
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" husband has been very active on his Instagram since making his first post on Oct. 31. While most of his posts show him enjoying good times with friends and family, his latest photos show the 47-year-old feeling a bit nostalgic.
"I will always adore the memories I made in America and how much fun we had as a family," Joe captioned a throwback photo of the family. "I will always love my family and care about them, even if their [sic] not here because of choices so tonight I share with you all of me! We had wonderful times in America as a family that I will always cherish forever!"
Joe also posted a few other throwback photos of his family within that same 24-hour period before posting a photo with his four daughters -- Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 10 - from their visit to Italy over Christmas.
"'Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.' Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.' – Quote by Henry Ford In 2020," he wrote. "I may have to learn to be self-restraint with bowl usage, hot water heating, or lack of American amenities but I can get accustom [sic] to that cause I get to see these faces again!! Till next time!!"
While it's not uncommon for the holidays to bring feelings of nostalgia and reflection, Joe's captions give off the sense that he may not be returning to America anytime soon.
Joe returned to his native country of Italy to await the decision in his ongoing deportation case. Before that, he was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when a court ruled that he be deported after following his 41-month term in federal prison for financial fraud.
Despite Joe's return to Italy, James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice family's attorney, confirmed to People at the time, "We are still fighting and it is his desire to return home to the United States to be reunited with his family."
When and if that return will happen won't be determined for a while though according to his estranged wife and "RHONJ" star Teresa. During the "RHONJ Season 10 After Show", she gave some insight as to the timeline of Joe's case.
"The fight's still not over," the mother of four explained. "We're still going to the third circuit, but I told the girls it's going to be like a year and a half before we hear anything."
Although it may be a while until there is an update regarding Joe's deportation, fans can watch everything leading up to the current moment on Season 10 of "RHONJ," which is currently airing.
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" Season 10 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
