KEY POINTS

  • Teresa Giudice accused brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa of prioritizing fame and money over family
  • She criticized Melissa, saying that "things change" when "different blood" enters the family
  • The "RHONJ" star said it was painful when her only sibling declined to attend her August wedding

Teresa Giudice reflected on her relationship with her brother, Joe Gorga, amid their rift and blamed "fame and money" for ruining their relationship.

During the "Jersey Ladies Part 2" panel at BravoCon 2022 on Saturday, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star opened up about her falling out with her only sibling, Page Six reported.

Giudice admitted she was "really hurt" when Gorga refused to attend her wedding to businessman Luis "Louis" Ruelas in August.

"Obviously, it was really sad for me. Devastating, he's my only brother, my only family that I have here. He's my only family," she shared, according to the outlet.

Giudice claimed that this wasn't the first time she's experienced this behavior from family.

"Unfortunately, fame and money does that to family and my family did that to me," the "Dancing with the Stars" alum told the crowd. "If you guys really get to know the real Teresa, you'll know I'm all heart and to me, family is the most important thing. If you guys saw how my brother and I grew up, we were inseparable."

She also seemingly criticized her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, saying that "things change" when "different blood" joins the family.

"I'm sure it happens in a lot of families and nobody should speak unless they're in the situation, so that's what happened to our family," Giudice said. "Fame and money, unfortunately, ruined our family. And, of course, I'm sad for that, but that's what happens."

The Gorgas reportedly skipped Giudice and Ruelas' nuptials after an explosive fight broke out while they were filming the "RHONJ" Season 13 finale in August. According to Page Six, the couple suspected that Giudice was involved in spreading the false rumors that Melissa had cheated on Joe.

Earlier in the day, Joe also spoke about their sibling feud during a different BravoCon panel moderated by Page Six's Evan Real.

He became furious when asked if he cared more about money and fame than family relations and seemingly criticized his sister for not welcoming them into "Real Housewives of New Jersey," which the Gorgas joined in 2009.

"I am tired of hearing that bulls–t," Joe said. "Because you know what? If you love each other, right? And we're family, you help one another rise."

Joe also said that he is tired of talking about the on-again, off-again family drama that reportedly began even before the Gorgas joined the franchise.

"At this point, I just don't know what else to say. I'm tired. I'm tired of talking about this for 13 years," Joe said. "I'm 48 years old, and I'm happy that I woke up this morning and happy that I have healthy kids, a beautiful wife, a beautiful life, and I just want to be happy, man. This kind of drama is ruining my life."

But Joe claimed that despite his beef with his sister, he remains amicable with his nieces. Teresa shares four daughters with ex-husband Joe Giudice — Gia, 21, Gabriella, 18, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 13.

The exes' eldest daughter Gia, who is also Joe's goddaughter, said that they still communicate but were closer before. She clarified that she didn't want her mom and uncle's rift to go in between her relationship with her three cousins, Antonia, 17, Gino, 15, and Joey, 12,
