Ricky Martin broke his silence on sexual abuse allegations made by his nephew after the court dismissed the case Thursday.

The 50-year-old singer faced the cameras on the same day and revealed that he needs to talk in order to start his "healing process." In the video posted by ExtraTV on YouTube, the singer can be seen sitting in a blue suit and looking directly into the camera lenses to address the allegations.

Martin first shared that he wasn't allowed to "defend" himself because of the "procedure," where the law obligated him not to speak until he was there in front of the judge.

"Thank God these claims were proven to be false. I’m going to tell you the truth," he said in the video. "It has been so painful, it has been devastating for me, for my family, for my friends. I don’t wish this upon anybody."

Martin went on to address his nephew and said, "To the person that was claiming this nonsense, I wish you the best."

The "Esencial" star further wished that his nephew can find "help" to start a new life that is "filled with love and truth and joy," adding that he hoped he doesn't hurt anybody else in the future.

Martin shared that now he is focusing on healing himself with music. "I cannot wait to be back on stage. I cannot wait to be back in front of cameras and entertain, which is what I do best. Thank you to all my friends," he added. "Thank you to all the fans who always believed in me."

"You have no idea the strength that you gave me with every comment you wrote on social media. I wish you love and light and here we come with the same strength and passion," he concluded the video. "God bless you all."

The legal drama started earlier this month when his nephew received a restraining order against the singer, claiming that Martin sexually abused him.

The singer shared a post on Twitter at the time and wrote, "I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and dignity that characterize me."

Martin is married to a Swedish painter Jwan Yosef since 2017.
