Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took the time to enjoy a date night over the weekend, weeks after welcoming their first child together.
The couple was photographed stepping out for dinner in New York City Sunday night, rocking matching sunglasses for the outing, People reported.
Rihanna, 34, wore an all-black outfit, which consisted of a corset top, long leather jacket and leggings. She completed her getup with heels and a Dior purse.
Rocky, 33, opted for a navy blazer with matching shorts over a white T-shirt. He paired his outfit with black and white tuxedo shoe-inspired sneakers.
The couple welcomed their firstborn in May. However, they have yet to announce their son's name.
An unnamed source close to the pair told People at the time that Rihanna and Rocky were at home in Los Angeles with the baby.
"Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom," the insider said.
Another source told the publication that Rihanna "barely" leaves their baby boy's side and that the first-time parents are "doing great" while adjusting to their new roles.
"Being a new parent is, of course, an adjustment, but they are doing great. Their baby boy is healthy, and Rihanna is just in awe of him," the second insider added. "She really was so excited to be pregnant. She loved it. Meeting her son was, of course, extremely special too."
In an interview with Dazed magazine for its summer 2022 issue, the rapper talked about fatherhood, sharing what kind of dad he wanted to be and the lessons he wanted to teach his child.
"I will always remind my children to never lose their imagination, even as adults, no matter what," he told Dazed when asked how he envisioned himself as a dad. "I actually love to watch cartoons – I've watched like 'Teletubbies,' 'Blue's Clues,' 'Yo Gabba Gabba,' 'Peppa Pig,' and 'Baby Shark.' I hope to raise open-minded children. Not people who discriminate. And I'm not trying to describe a saint, but realistically, I just want a cool child with cool parents."
Rihanna previously told Vogue that she would love to raise her child in her "dream place" and home country of Barbados, though she admitted that's unlikely.
In his Dazed interview, Rocky, whose dad also came from Barbados, shared that he was raised to know about his heritage but missed the actual experience growing up. But when he finally got to experience the magic of Barbados as an adult, he said it was "one of the most surreal experiences" of his life.
