Rihanna remains hopeful for a "positive outcome" amid her boyfriend A$AP Rocky's arrest this week, according to a report.
The Fenty Beauty mogul, who is pregnant with her first child with the rapper, is focused on her impending bundle of joy after Rocky was arrested in connection to a 2021 shooting incident.
"She hasn’t spoken much about [the arrest]. She’s truly focused on her pregnancy and not trying to get too stressed," an unnamed insider told Us Weekly of Rihanna. "She is very confident about everything and has told friends she just hopes for a positive outcome."
The "Praise the Lord" rapper was taken into the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department after he and Rihanna returned from their vacation in Barbados Wednesday.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after an alleged altercation in November 2021, the LAPD said.
At the time, Rocky got into a heated argument with an unnamed "acquaintance" where the rapper allegedly fired a handgun at the victim, who sustained minor injuries, according to the police report. The musician allegedly fled the scene on foot alongside two other men.
Rocky was released on $550,000 bail hours after his arrest. His next court date was set for Aug. 17.
Rihanna "is powerful and will do what she can to help him," Us Weekly's insider said, adding that the "Diamonds" singer "loves ASAP and wants him to be by her side when she gives birth."
An anonymous source also recently told Entertainment Tonight that the arrest "is the last thing Rihanna needs right now."
"She wants to be mellow, relaxed, and focused 100% on the arrival of her baby -- not stressing out!" the insider told ET. "This arrest was not something they saw coming."
Rihanna wants to deliver her child in Barbados and "spend the first few months with the baby there before coming stateside," according to the source. However, the insider said the singer plans to live in Los Angeles with her child and Rocky despite her strong ties to New York.
