Rihanna Lands April British Vogue Cover, Talks New Denim Shoe Collection With Manolo Blahnik
Rihanna has landed her second British Vogue cover for the magazine’s April issue. The 28-year-old singer sizzles on the cover of the magazine in a white embellished top and a matching cowboy hat. She gives a sideways glance at the camera with her raven tresses flowing down.
Rihanna showed off her cowboy style in a white hat with stone embellishments. She also wore a white shirt with white lacy flowers and silver leaf detailing. RiRi accessorized with small gold stud earrings and wore brown frosted lipstick, pale pink manicure and her cheeks were contoured.
Meanwhile, the “Diamonds” singer has designed a limited edition capsule collection with legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik. There are six limited edition pieces in her new collection which will hit stores in New York, London and Hong Kong on May 5. For British Vogue, she has modeled some of her new shoe collection in collaboration with Blahnik.
RiRi showed off her edgy side on the inside of the magazine. For the risqué photoshoot, the singer wore a pair of her stand-out boots — the ‘9 to 5’ embellished boots that reached up to her waist. The “Work” singer paired her boots with an embroidered denim frock coat by Alexander McQueen. She completed her look with knitted hot pants from Isabel Marant.
The singer showed off her cleavage in the outfit and her denim boots that featured a belt and silver embellishment. The pictures for the Vogue interview have been clicked by photographer Craig McDean. RiRi has designed six shoes including ankle boots, sandals and court shoes in denim fabric.
Talking about her sense of style, Rihanna said that she inherited it from her mother. “Oh my goodness, my mother - she is a woman's woman. I was obsessed with everything she did then, everything she wore, her scent, her shoes and her scarves... That was the glamour I wanted to be part of,” said Bad Girl RiRi. The April issue of Vogue hits on newsstands Thursday.
The singer’s Spring/Summer 2016 shoe collection is called Denim Desserts and is inspired by her hand tattoos. Each shoe is artfully fashioned with denim, sequins and artisan embroidery. However, RiRi cautioned that her ‘9 to 5’ boots are a strict no-no for a date.
Denim Desserts will go on-sale across three store locations globally in London, New York and Hong Kong on May 5. The new shoe collection is very expensive priced in the range of $895 to $3995.
