Rihanna's pregnancy cravings gave away her secret to her friends.
During an event for her brands Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin in Los Angeles Friday, the 33-year-old singer and fashion designer told E! News that her inner circle found out about her pregnancy long before she made it public via media photos late last month.
"It was harder for me to keep it from my posse because they're around me, they know my habits," Rihanna admitted.
The mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend ASAP Rocky, continued, "They're like, 'You don’t want something to drink? You're not smoking?' And I'm eating all the things I'm not used to eating."
Rihanna recalled that it wasn't just the smoking and alcohol that led her pals to guess that she may be pregnant.
"They know I hate sweets and I'm all of a sudden asking for cookies and donuts," she explained. "But finally, I just had to let it all out, and they were all shocked, of course, as the world was shocked as well."
Rihanna also shared how she felt after learning she was expecting a baby, revealing that she was cautious and reluctant to celebrate during her first trimester.
"When I first found out, it's not real, you know? I was like, 'This is not for real, right?'" she said. "And then, it was and it's almost like you don't want to get too excited too soon because it's great news, but you...want to see that it's going to see its way through. And I'm so glad that we're this far along and now I can celebrate with everyone."
During the same event, the "Work" hitmaker also spoke to Entertainment Tonight's Rachel Smith about her maternity fashion.
Rihanna, who looked chic in a green sequined The Attico Spring 2022 RTW halter top, matching pink pants and jewelry from Chopard and Messika, said she's "trying to enjoy" her pregnancy as much as she can.
"Fashion is one of my favorite things, so, you know, we’re defying what it even means to be pregnant and maternal," she told ET with a laugh. "It can get uncomfortable at times and so you can dress the part and pretend."
The Savage x Fenty founder also joked that she was loving donuts, but she added that preparing for motherhood has been thrilling.
But while the singer is focused on her pregnancy, she hasn't put music on the back burner, assuring fans that they will get new songs from her in the future. Rihanna, however, joked that it won't be a lullaby because her "fans would kill me if they waited this long for a lullaby."
