Rihanna's Boyfriend A$AP Rocky 'Opened Her Up To Idea' Of Having Kids: Report

Rihanna is enjoying her pregnancy, a report says.

The "Umbrella" singer, 33, is expecting her first child with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. An unnamed source close to the couple told People that being with the rapper, also 33, had an influence on Rihanna's mindset about having kids, and the fashion mogul "couldn't be happier" now that she's pregnant.

"Having a baby is something she was never focused on, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea. She couldn't be happier and is so excited to be a mom," the insider said. "She's loving all the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her runway shows for Fenty."

The tipster added, "Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own timetable, and having a baby is no different. They're just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they're just the cutest, giddiest young couple that's expecting kids."

As for the couple's relationship, the source said Rocky has "doted on" Rihanna from the "very beginning."

According to the insider, "a lot of guys" have pursued the "Diamonds" hitmaker, but Rocky was able to sweep her off her feet because he's "over-the-top romantic." The rapper reportedly often sends his girlfriend "rooms full" of flowers.

Rihanna has "never felt this way before, and this relationship has changed her," the source added.

A second anonymous insider told People that the expectant parents are living together and seem "beyond happy." Their friends are reportedly also excited about their upcoming bundle of joy.

"Everyone is happy it's all working out. They will be great parents," the source added.

Rihanna debuted her baby bump while she was walking in New York City over the weekend with Rocky. The singer was wearing a long pink jacket, which was unbuttoned at the bottom to reveal her bump adorned in a gold cross with colorful jewels.

In photos obtained by People of the couple's outing in Harlem, where Rocky grew up, the rapper kissed his girlfriend on her forehead as they enjoyed a snowy walk outdoors.

Rihanna's dad Ronald Fenty told Page Six in an interview from his home in Barbados that his daughter informed him Sunday that he has a grandchild on the way.

"I'm ecstatic," Fenty said. "I'm so happy that I jumped for joy. I'm still so excited."

He added, "Rihanna always said that she wanted children, she loves kids. She always takes care of her cousins' kids… she's going to be a good mom."

News broke in November 2020 that Rihanna and Rocky started dating after years of friendship. The following month, she brought him home to Barbados for Christmas.

In his interview with GQ in May 2021, Rocky described the fashion and beauty entrepreneur as the "love of my life" and called her "my lady."

The rapper was also asked in the interview if he was ready to be a dad. "If that's in my destiny, absolutely," he said. "I think I'm already a dad! All these motherf--ers are already my sons—whatchu talkin' 'bout!"

"Nah, but like, I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very," Rocky added.
