Rixton’s Jake Roche Proposes To Little Mix Singer Jesy Nelson Onstage; Ed Sheeran Performs Couple’s Favorite Song

Rixton singer Jake Roche proposed to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson onstage at the Manchester Arena in London last weekend, E! Online reported. It happened after Ed Sheeran called the couple to the stage. According to reports, Sheeran serenaded the couple with an acoustic version of “Tenerife Sea,” while Rosche popped the big question.

Roche took to Instagram to celebrate with his fans what he called one of the most memorable moments of his life. The 22-year-old singer was on one knee proposing to the Nelson while the “Give Me Love” singer performed with his guitar on stage. “A year ago today I met her at Manchester Arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life,” the 22-year-old singer wrote.

Nelson, 24, also posted the same photo in the Little Mix official Instagram account with the caption: “ I cannot believe what has just happened! The most surreal moment of my life and everyone that I love most was there to share it with us! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world rite now literally cannot stop crying!” Finally, the “Black Magic” singer signed off with “Future Mrs Roche. ”

Roche also took his overflowing gratitude to the “Photograph” singer in Twitter and said, “ Travelled 5 hours to sing our favorite song on his day off. I will never ever be able to repay you. Love you pal. @edsheeran."

Earlier, the Rixton singer joked to the Daily Mirror that he could not afford his own “hot meal, let alone a ring” for his girlfriend. Turns out, the singer was bluffing so as not to spoil the big surprise.

In further news, Little Mix leads the charts this week with their hit single “Black Magic," according to BBC News. The newest single comes from the all-girl-group’s fifth album, “Get Weird,” which reached 113,000 sales and 1.19 million streams.

Nelson joins the soon-to-be-married club with her Little Mix bandmate, Perrie Edwards, who was earlier engaged with former One Direction singer, Zayn Malik in 2013.
