Rob Kardashian Returns to Instagram With Shirtless Throwback Photo
Rob Kardashian has made an unexpected appearance on social media. The 28-year-old reality TV star posted a shirtless photo of himself to mark Throwback Thursday and gave his followers a pleasant surprise.
“Me just chill-zoning in Malibu eating a pulled pork sandwich,” said Rob, while using the popular social media hashtag #tbt. In the photo, his back is to the camera as he takes a bite of the sandwich. He is shirtless and is showing off a full sleeve of tattoos. Despite being shirtless, he’s got a black beanie on his head as he sits close to the shore on Malibu beach.
The post is now the only photo that’s up on Kardashian’s Instagram site. Based on his previous social media behavior, the photo might not be up for very long. He has posted and then deleted photos on Instagram on several occasions in the past.
For an account that has practically nothing in it, Kardashian’s Instagram has a whopping 3.2 million followers. His lone post has gathered close to 100,000 likes in the first 12 hours. More than 3,000 fans have also commented and welcomed him back into the social media realm.
While his social media statistics may be impressive, that’s a pittance compared to the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Caitlyn Jenner broke the record for the fastest growing number of followers when she opened her Twitter account last month. She hit the 1 million mark in only four hours. The previous record was held by President Barack Obama, who gained 1 million followers in five hours.
Meanwhile, Rob’s sister Kendall Jenner holds the record for the most-liked Instagram photo. This record was previously held by another family member, Kim Kardashian.
Rob is currently the most-low profile member of the family. He has not only been elusive in social media; he’s also been away from the spotlight in real life. He has been avoiding the paparazzi and has also stopped appearing in the family’s reality show. In Seasons 9 and 10 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” he barely made an appearance.
Nevertheless, his fans are still eager to see him and he still has millions of followers. Last week, he was featured in Caitlyn Jenner’s show ‘I Am Cait,” but only through a phone call.
He is now living with his sister Khloe Kardashian, and it remains to be seen if he will be more visible when the reality show returns this fall. Season 10 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” is scheduled to start airing in November on E!.
