Robert Pattinson has opened up about his personal life and shared that he labels himself as a “catastrophist” who is always ready for the worst case scenario.

While speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the 33-year-old actor revealed that he thinks about a lot of things and always wonder if he is ready for the worst case scenario. When asked what kind of thoughts he has, the “Twilight” star noted that he thinks about all the disastrous things that can happen in his personal and professional life.

“I am catastrophist. I am always thinking that the worst case scenario is actually going to happen. So when it does happen, I am like: ‘Gah! Ok, I am prepared!” Pattinson said.

Later in the interview, the “Good Time” star also shed light on all the crazy things he would do on the set of “The Lighthouse” to bring more authenticity to his character because he thinks he doesn’t know “how to act.”

Pattinson noted that he would sometimes punch his face, drink mud from the puddle or even gag himself to make his character look weird and he also believes that if someone stirs up his or her physical state just before shooting their scenes, it creates a “different feeling.”

“I don’t really know how to act, I kind of wanted to somehow make it real, and one of the ways I have always thought makes that a little bit easier is if you shake up your physical state just before action. You end up walking into a scene having a different feeling,” Pattinson said.

His comments come a few weeks after he revealed that he thought of quitting the profession of acting because of a failed audition for the movie “Twilight.” As soon as Pattinson came out of the audition room, he called his parents to tell them that he was “done” with acting and could not torture himself anymore. He considered turning back on his dream career.

The esteemed actor also praised his fellow actor Willem Dafoe for his acting skills and noticed that the “Florida Project” star has a “tonne of energy” while filming.

Pattinson will be next seen in Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet.” The movie is described as an action epic revolving around international espionage, time travel and evolution.

“Tenet” also stars John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Clemence Poesy, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine and Dimple Kapadia. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2020.
