Rockets Set A Bizarre NBA Record, Houston Runs Ice Cold Then Runs Red Hot
After upsetting the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, the Houston Rockets extended their winning streak to seven games. The winning streak comes after a 15-game losing streak.
The win gave Houston a strange honor. The Rockets became the first team in NBA history to win seven games in a row after losing 15 straight.
The Rockets have been boosted by center Christian Wood. In five of the last seven games, Wood has recorded at least 10 rebounds. He also has four games scoring 20 points or more.
The hot streak comes after Houston started the season 1-16, almost setting a franchise record for the longest losing streak.
The Rockets currently have the longest winning streak in the NBA. Stephen Silas' squad is a half-game behind the San Antonio Spurs.
Houston began the season as a long shot to reach the playoffs.
The Rockets are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the second-worst record in the Western Conference. The Rockets are 2.5 games ahead of the West's last-place New Orleans Pelicans.
