Rose McGowan's feud with Alyssa Milano over politics turned personal when the former slammed her former co-star over her alleged behavior during their days filming "Charmed."
McGowan and Milano's argument began when the former criticized Democrats for achieving "nothing" following the final night of the Democratic National Convention. However, Milano fired back by replying to McGowan's post with a Twitter thread listing the accomplishments of the Democratic Party over the past century.
"Rose and anyone bleating the same 'dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe' nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you," Milano wrote in one of her tweets on Friday.
"It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do," she continued. "Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets."
In response, McGowan brought up Milano's alleged "appalling" behavior on set when they were still working together on the TV series "Charmed." She also accused Milano of appropriating the #MeToo movement.
"You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana [Burke]. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on 'Charmed,'" McGowan wrote.
"You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this s--t!’ Appalling behavior on the daily," she added. "I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f-----g fraud."
When asked about McGowan's accusations, Milano told Us Weekly, "Hurt people hurt people. Commenting any further doesn’t align with my wellness plan."
Meanwhile, McGowan ended her tirade by sharing a link to her past interview with "Nightline." In the clip, she was asked if she was proud of Milano for helping the #MeToo campaign go viral, to which she replied, "I don't like her."
"Cause I think she's a lie," McGowan said of her former co-star. "Do you think I don't know these people? I'm not looking at this from the outside. I have a lot of experience. I know she's married to a CAA agent. Do the math. Who's behind Time's Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA. Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA."
CAA declined to comment on the interview.
Meanwhile, Milano said she was supportive of McGowan and admired her bravery to speak up about her experiences. However, she insisted that her only goal was to use her platform to give others a voice.
