  • Rosie O'Donnell took to TikTok Wednesday to reveal that she lost 10 pounds over the holidays
  • She said her doctor put her on Mounjaro and Repatha
  • The TV personality said the medications are only prescribed for people with diabetes

Rosie O'Donnell has shared the secret to her sudden weight loss amid her battle with diabetes.

The 60-year-old TV personality uploaded a video to TikTok Wednesday to discuss with her fans what led to her body transformation.

According to O'Donnell, she lost 10 pounds over the holidays because of an appetite suppressant that her doctor prescribed her.

She told her fans that it was not the popular Hollywood weight-loss drug Ozempic that helped her shed pounds.

"Two months ago, my doctor put me on Mounjaro ... and Repatha. One I do every other week and one I do once a week," she explained in the video clip, as quoted by Page Six.

However, the comedienne pointed out to her followers that the medications are only prescribed for people with diabetes. O'Donnell was previously diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes — the type that develops due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

But apart from the drug combination, the former "Rosie O'Donnell Show" star admitted that she also tweaked her lifestyle by avoiding alcohol and sugary beverages.

"Christmas I stopped drinking anything except water. I have had champagne one night that was a toast, and I had wine one night, so it hasn't been 100%," she explained.

The "Find Me" author continued, "But I really stopped drinking like five or six Diet Cokes a day. All I drink is water now. And I'm not eating sugar as much as I can."

O'Donnell's post was received well by her fans and followers. Several even shared their positive experience with one of the drugs she mentioned in the clip.

"Congratulations @rosie! I started Mounjaro Oct. 27th and just hit 30 pounds down. I'm on 5mg and doing well!! Don't even think about food," one wrote.

"Congrats on the 10-pound loss! I take Mounjaro and have lost 76 since June. I'm here if you have any questions about it," added another.

O'Donnell has been struggling with her health for years. After suffering a heart attack in 2012, she's become determined to lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

A year after her health scare, she underwent weight-loss surgery. The former "The View" co-host revealed in 2014 that she lost almost 50 pounds thanks to her vertical gastric sleeve, ABC News reported.
