Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Chelsea Alliegro Announces Pregnancy Following Michelle Rounds’ Death
Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea Alliegro, is pregnant with her first child. But since she and her mom don’t have a good relationship, Alliegro said that she has no plans to involve her mom in her baby’s life.
While speaking with the Daily Mail on Tuesday, the 19-year-old said, “I’ve always wanted a family and I’m looking forward to it. But Rosie will not be in my child’s life – and no, I don’t feel sad about that to be honest.” Alliegro has been very vocal about her relationship with her mom in recent years.
In 2015, O’Donnell opened up about her daughter’s decision to no longer live with her. After she turned 18, Alliegro, who was adopted by O’Donnell decided to stay a 26-year-old man named Steve Sheerer. “I love all of my kids. My daughter has been in the news. It’s been in the news, but it’s not news to the family. It’s been a decade long. As mom, my wish is for love and peace and wait until it’s done,” she said.
Also in 2015, Alliegro told the Daily Mail that her mom isn’t genuine. O’Donnell responded by saying that her daughter’s statement hurt “heartbreaking on every level.”
Meanwhile, other than not being involved in her daughter’s pregnancy, O’Donnell is also struggling with the death of her partner, Michelle Rounds. Last week, the 46-year-old Rounds passed away in their home in Florida. It was later on ruled as apparent suicide. An autopsy was conducted by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office.
“At this point, the doctor has pended the cast. There was no trauma to the body, but the doctor wanted to do further laboratory tests before she made a decision. Talking about any case, we do toxicology testing on almost every decedent that comes through our office. It’s one of those things that when the pends it usually means they are looking at, was it natural causes or was it accidental death or a suicide depending on the results of the testing,” the spokesperson said.
Following her partner’s shocking demise, O’Donnell released a statement to Entertainment Tonight saying that Rounds was suffering from mental illness.
