Newly single Ruby Rose was spotted spending time with American singer Halsey in Los Angeles Monday, giving rise to speculation that the two may be hooking up. The dating rumors surface just a week after the “Orange Is The New Black” star split with her longtime girlfriend and fiancée Phoebe Dahl.

The two reportedly dined at a restaurant before heading to a theater to watch “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Rose and Halsey were also pictured sharing an embrace as they greeted each other before the lunch, according to the Daily Mail.

This is not the first time Rose and Halsey have been spotted together or showed affection toward each other.

Earlier this month, Rose posted a photo of her with Halsey on Instagram, captioning it: “So like.. How much you love @iamhalsey .. When you walking and you're like checking out someone's steeeze and then they come hug you and you're like .. Oh s--- .. It's you u lil adorable nugget! ( you gotta read this post in Joey from friends voice cos that's what I was doing when I wrote it haha ).”

In August, Rose tweeted a simple “hi” to Halsey, to which the 21-year-old pop singer replied with a “hi” and a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life speculated that Justin Bieber, who is a close pal of Rose and Halsey, may have played the matchmaker amid the 29-year-old Australian star’s breakup.

Last week, Rose announced that her engagement with Dahl had ended. She took to her Facebook account to speak out about the split.

“Phoebe remains very dear to my heart,” she wrote. “I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of the time we shared. They say, ‘It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.’ I’m lucky to have had the chance to love her.”

Rose did not specify a reason for the split, but a source told E! News that they decided to end their two years of relationship because of their busy schedules. "It's completely amicable and they wish each other the best," the source reportedly said, adding that distance had strained their relationship.
