Russian aircraft's emergency landing kills two, 40 injured
At least two people were killed and 40 others were injured when a passenger plane skidded off the runway during an emergency landing in Russia.
The aircraft of the Dagestan Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing after all the three of its engines failed, local media reported on Saturday.
Russian Emergencies ministry confirmed that the accident occurred at Moscow's Domodedovo airport during an emergency landing and added that more than sixty rescuers, and fire fighting brigades were working on the scene. The injured, some with serious wounds, were rushed to the hospital.
The aircraft was en route to Makhachkala city in the South of the country from Moscow's Vnukovo airport. The Russian-built aircraft TU-154 had 150 passengers on board when the mishap occurred.
