Ryan Reynolds, Conan O'Brien Recreate Iconic 'The Notebook' Kiss; Blake Lively Reacts With Hilarious Instagram Post
Ryan Reynolds and Conan O’Brien recently recreated an iconic scene from “The Notebook.”
During the actor’s appearance on “Conan,” Reynolds and O’Brien starred in the make-believe sequel, “The Notebook 2.” The clip opened with the two men standing in front of each other while drenched in rainwater. O’Brien took on the role of Allie Hamilton, who was portrayed by Rachel McAdams in the 2004 hit movie.
“Why didn’t you write me? It wasn’t over for me! I waited for you for seven years, and now it’s too late!” he told Reynolds, who assumed the role of Noah (Ryan Gosling). “I wrote you 365 letters! I wrote you every day for a year!” Reynolds said. “You wrote me? You…” O’Brien replied before Reynolds cut him off. “It wasn’t over! It still isn’t!” he said before reaching for O’Brien’s face and kissing him on the lips.
Meanwhile, Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, responded to the actor and O’Brien’s controversial kiss with nothing but love and support. On her Instagram account, the “Gossip Girl” alum joked that she knew her husband got into trouble during his appearance on “Conan” because he prepared cookies and milk for her when he got home. “Literal brownie points,” she wrote.
In other news, Reynolds recently confirmed that his second child with Lively is a girl. While on “Conan,” the actor joked that their home is packed with estrogen. “Two kids under two is tough… Yeah, a lot of estrogen. It’s like an American Girl doll took a s--- on my life.” Last month, Lively gave birth to her daughter. At that time, the couple chose to stay private about the infant’s gender. However, Reynolds already told his fans on Twitter that his second child is a girl. “The mobile above my daughter’s crib…” he wrote.
