The Jolie look-a-like reportedly underwent surgery not just once, not just twice, but fifty —yes, fifty— times in a matter of months to look just like the “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” actress.

However, many believed that she went too far because she ended up looking like a corpse.

The Jolie look-a-like, Tabar, was born in February, 1998. The 21-year-old Iranian teenager, who lives in Tehran, reportedly went on a strict diet to achieve the weight of 40 kg.

What does she look like before the alleged multiple surgeries happened? Curious fans found the Instagram account @sahartabar.before. This social media account contains some snaps of her before her quest to alter her physical appearance to look like Jolie. There’s also one Instagram account which reportedly has her before and after the alteration pictures. But upon checking the @sahartabar_official, the said social media platform displayed a notice that the user can no longer be found.

Spectators and followers alike had some nasty comments towards the Jolie look-a-like. According to the report of the news outlet Sun, there was an individual who told Tabar that she was not Jolie rather a scary ghost. There was also another one who called her crazy.

Apparently, there were some who reportedly believed that the Jolie look-a-like’s antics involved prosthetics and make-ups as well photo shop. There was one who reportedly described her as an artist and she was just playing around. A report from news.com.au revealed that Tabar’s look wasn’t just purely surgical alteration nor make-up and digital editing, rather a combination of all.

While everyone is debating on whether or not the Tabar’s physical alterations just to look like Jolie was real or just make-ups, prosthetics and digital editing, a report recently surfaced that got arrested.

Yes, we’re talking about the same zombie-like, corpse-like Jolie in the above-mentioned snap. According to Life & Style, Tasnim news agency reported that Tabar allegedly committed crimes such as blasphemy, inciting violence, illegal acquisition of property, encouraging youth corruption and gaining profit via inapt means. Was she arrested? Apparently, she was. The news outlet further reported that the arrest stemmed from the complaints of the public against her.

According to Jolie’s look-a-like, she paints her face and alters her physical appearance as a way of self-expression. It is note-worthy that the Iranian government has strict rules with regard to clothing and behavior of women.
