Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum are opening up about their experience filming "Magic Mike's Last Dance."
Tatum, 42, and Hayek, 56, sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the third installment in the "Magic Mike" franchise, which premieres next month. During the interview, the co-stars revisited some of the tricky dance moves and the mishaps they encountered during rehearsals.
"I remember in one rehearsal he nearly dropped me upside down, head hitting the floor," Hayek told ET.
However, Tatum denied her claims, insisting, "It didn't happen, so I don't know what you're talking about."
Hayek recalled that she had to "bend my legs, [but] I didn't bend them in rehearsal."
"Yeah, you didn't bend them, but I saved that queen," Tatum quipped. "The queen's crown didn't hit the ground!"
"But it came this close, and then he reprimanded me," Hayek added. "We laughed and then he said, 'OK, let's review what we have learned from this experience.' It's hard to remember what you're supposed to do when you're upside down!"
In "Magic Mike's Last Dance," Hayek plays a wealthy socialite who meets Tatum's "Magic" Mike Lane.
In the trailer released in November 2022, Mike gives Hayek's character a lap dance, prompting her to invite the dancer to join her in London and offer him the opportunity to create his own bigger-than-life show.
"You came along and gave me this unexpected, magical moment that made me remember who I really was," Hayek's character says in the trailer as Mike strips off his shirt and undresses her. "I want every woman that walks into this theater to feel that a woman can have whatever she wants, whenever she wants."
During their interview with ET, Tatum said that Magic Mike's story is "just gonna keep going," but he added, "I can't tell you there's gonna be another [film]."
Hayek chimed in saying that Tatum told her at one point during filming, "Oh, I'm glad this is the last one 'cause I don't have to get into this shape again," to which the actor joked that he truly doesn't believe he can.
The "Desperado" actress shared that Tatum munched pizza in his car the moment filming wrapped.
"The day they said wrap, he went crazy! We're going to the wrap party in the cars and he [was in] the other car shoving the pizza [in his mouth]," she told ET. "Like the Cookie Monster, but it was the Pizza Monster. He was so happy."
Tatum confirmed Hayek's comments, saying "I was rubbing it on my face. I was just like, 'Ahhh.'"
"Magic Mike's Last Dance" hits theaters on Feb. 10.
