Sam Heughan Prepares For Weekend Break After 'Outlander' Season 5 Filming

Sam Heughan is taking a break from filming “Outlander” Season 5 and heading out to enjoy the weekend. The actor plays the role of Jamie Fraser on the popular time-travelling show, and in a recent post on Instagram he shared his excitement over the weekend break.

“Outlander” fans know that Heughan loves to go hiking and working out at the gym. In a recent post on Instagram, the star hinted that he will be busy rowing a boat somewhere this weekend. The actor also asked the fans to share their plans for the weekend with him.

Apart from his trips outdoors, Heughan apparently likes to binge watch TV shows at home. The actor revealed on Twitter recently that he has been watching the show “American Gods.” The actor complimented the writers for their skill, but teased them about their gambling skills when they wrote they would go “all-in” on Ricky Whittle, who plays the role of Shadow Moon on the show.

The bet that the “American Gods” writers made was in response to a question by Anne Kenney, who asked on Twitter a controversial question about who would win an arm wrestling match between Whittle and Heughan.

There was also a response from the official Twitter page of the “Outlander” TV series. They supported Heughan by sharing a GIF of a scene from the show in which Jamie tells his followers “we will win.”

Heughan is currently busy with the filming of Season 5 of the time-travelling TV series, but he will also be appearing in another big project. He has already completed the filming of his new film “Bloodshot,” in which he will be playing the role of Corporal Harlan 'So Long' Shifflet. Vin Diesel is the lead of the film, playing the role of the protagonist Ray Garrison.

As far as “Outlander” Season 5 is concerned, the producers are yet to announce an exact release date. The show is set to premiere sometime later this year.
