Samsung inadvertently confirmed one of the upcoming Galaxy Note 10’s features, particularly its charging speed.

Samsung is set to unveil its newest entry into the Note series of phablets, the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus. These two smartphones are expected to be the Korean tech giant’s best offerings at the moment, and are believed to have some of the best features of any smartphone today.

One of those features, it seems, has been confirmed by Samsung itself. This is according to an announcement titled “Galaxy First Look,” found in the official events page for Samsung 837 -- a place in New York where the tech giant is scheduled to reveal its newest devices, Phone Arena noted.

“Join us at Samsung 837 for a preview of the latest Samsung Galaxy device,” The announcement reads. “Be among the first to get hands on with all the highly-anticipated new features. These include Intelligent Battery, Superfast Charge, Wireless PowerShare, the next-generation S Pen, and so much more.”

Confirmed specs

Samsung might not have unveiled the devices yet, but the announcement has already confirmed one of a few specs previously rumored to come with them:

  • Superfast Charge

“Superfast Charge” is the term Samsung uses for its 25W fast-charging feature found only on the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy A80. This, as XDA Developers pointed out, is a huge jump from the “Adaptive Fast Charging” feature found on other Galaxy S10 models.

That might not sound like a big deal for some, but here’s the thing: 25W charging is expected to be the minimum for the Galaxy Note 10 line. Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy Note 10 Plus might have support for up to 45W fast charging.

  • Next-Gen S Pen

Previous reports also said the Galaxy Note 10 will support the S Pen with Air Actions gestures. This will allow Note 10 users to do more with Samsung’s stylus.

  • Wireless Powershare and Intelligent Battery

Placing a compatible device at the back of the Galaxy Note 10 will get it charged using the phablet’s own 3,500 mAh (Note 10) or 4,300 mAh (Note 10 Plus) batteries that are said to be “intelligent.”

Samsung is expected to announce the new devices on August 7. Stay tuned for more updates.
