Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus New Renders Leak Out Revealing Key Specifications

Unlike last year, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 in August. The Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, was introduced at the IFA 2014 event in September. The reported reason for shifting the launch date earlier is because of the expected Apple iPhone 6s's arrival in September, Phone Arena reported. In the meantime, a case-maker has apparently sent out renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, revealing key information.

What Is New?

SM Arena reported case-maker Itskins has sent out several renders of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, providing dimensions and control layout. The new schematics reportedly show the same 5.7-inch display size. The handset looks like a good mix of the metal-clad Galaxy S6 and the accents resemble the typical Note line-up of devices, Phone Arena said. A pop-up mechanism reportedly has been developed for Samsung for the stylus/s-pen. This new technology apparently has an “automated or push” mechanism to eject the stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specifications

When it comes to specifications, the new renders of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 apparently confirm the dimensions of the upcoming phablet as 153.3-by-76.1-by-7.9 mm (6.03-by-2.99-by-0.3 inches). Phone Arena said the phablet will be powered by an Exynos 7422 chip, will be backed by 4 GB of RAM unit and come equipped with 32 GB of built-in storage. Furthermore, the phone will house a 16 megapixel primary camera unit with optical image stabilization support and a killer 4100 mAh battery unit. In addition, there will also be an USB Type-C port, along with a stylus.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Specifications

Sadly, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will not feature a stylus, GSM Arena said. The leak shows the dimensions of the device as 154.4-by-75.8-by-6.9 mm (6.08-by-2.98-by-0.27 inches). Under the hood, this device will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chip. Lastly, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is believed to be housing a 3,000 mAh battery unit, Phone Arena said.
