Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Arrives: Target And Other Retailers Hint At Electric Blue And Copper Gold Color Options
The recently released Samsung Galaxy S5 comes in four color options: Shimmer White, and Charcoal Black, Electric Blue and Copper Gold, but most carriers and retailers in the U.S. are offering only the black and white options.
There has been no indication as to whether major carriers in the U.S. will offer the blue and gold Galaxy S5 color options in the future, but some retailers have hinted that they should have the color available at some point. These retailers include Target, Overstock and GSM Nation.
Currently, Target has a placeholder for its GSM unlocked Galaxy S5 on its website, though the device is not yet available online or in stores. With the exception of a color error for the gold option, which is displayed as black but says gold if you hover your cursor over it, the placeholder indicates that Target will offer all four Galaxy S5 colors for the GSM unlocked model. IBTimes reached out to Target for comment and the retailer says it will get back to us with more information.
Overstock.com is currently selling the GSM unlocked Galaxy S5 in white, though we have also seen the black model available. Though only one or two color options are currently available, under product details for the Galaxy S, all four color options are listed. Overstock has told IBTimes that inventory for the other color options should be available at the end of next week (the 24th or 25th).
GSM Nation is currently selling the 3G Galaxy S5 and the U.S. LTE Galaxy S5 in white; however, the retailer has confirmed to IBTimes that it will offer the black, white, blue and gold color options in the future.
