Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Photos In Deep Black Hue Surface
Another day, another leak. This time around, the images show Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge variant in “deep black hue,” instead of the traditional “black sapphire color” seen in the predecessor that gives a dark blue tint to the device, SamMobile reported.
According to the leaked photos of the Galaxy S7 Edge, the device will have a fingerprint sensor. The images come from the regular source Weibo. Besides the photos, the post doesn’t give any other information.
Tied to model number “SM-G935,” the Galaxy S7 Edge will flaunt a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, bundled with a QHD resolution. Similar to the flagship S7, this model will also come powered by Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 chipsets, based on the market, according to past rumors.
This device has been rumored to be backed by a solid 4 GB of RAM. Plus, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS will run the device out of the box with TouchWiz UI on top of it.
When it comes to camera configuration, Samsung will apparently house a 12-megapixel BRITECELL main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and either a 5- or 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies.
Galaxy S7 Edge is expected to come equipped with 32 GB or 64 GB of inbuilt storage space, along with support for microSD card. Speaking of battery, a 3,600 mAh cell will reportedly help keep the lights on.
Reports suggest that Samsung will introduce the “Always On Display” in its Galaxy S7 series and this has been confirmed by the United States Patent and Trademark Office filing.
Tech portals say the "Always On Display" feature will be very efficient in the Samsung handset precisely because of the efficient AMOLED screen technology. This screen will apparently help in making sure this feature does not waste power and in turn, weigh down the battery. This efficacy is accomplished by lighting up only those “pixels that are actively showing some content” to the device user.
In any case, readers are advised to take the rumored Galaxy S7 Edge specifications with the proverbial pinch of salt as Samsung has not confirmed any information thus far.
