Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumors: Latest Iteration Might Have Much Larger Display
Samsung’s next flagship phone, the Galaxy S8, could have a much bigger display than the Galaxy S7’s 5.1-inch display, according to TechRadar. The Korean electronics company is looking to release the Samsung Galaxy S8 in 5.7-inch and 6.2 inch screen sizes. This would be a major jump, especially since the Galaxy S7 display is 5.1-inches, and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge coming in at 5.5-inches. The report also suggests the 6.2-inch model would be called Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.
Rumored to be released early next year, the Galaxy S8 will be Samsung’s opportunity to gain back customers after Galaxy Note 7’s started exploding. Though a bigger screen would be nice that doesn’t always mean the Galaxy S8 will be a larger phone. Another rumor suggests the Galaxy S8’s display could compete against the Xiaomi’s Mi Mix, but it’s still pretty early to tell if that is anything more than speculation.
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 might also have a 4k screen, which would be a perfect mobile VR display.
This means VR world’s would be clearer and look more realistic. As far as performance, the S8 may be equipped with the Snapdragon 830 processor, and Exynos 8895 processor and a Mali-G71 graphics chip, according to SamMobile.
This will make the Galaxy S8 way more powerful than the S7.
Since dual cameras are really popular, a recent filed patent suggests Samsung is looking into considered two cameras just like the iPhone 7 Plus, but features improved zoom. Just like Apple, it’s possible Samsung may remove the headphone jack on the S8 and go with USB-C audio and wireless similar to the Moto Z series.
