Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs Details: Leak Suggests Gold Color Option
Recent leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy S8 may also come in a gold color option. Tech informant Evan Blass shared Wednesday, what appears to be the Galaxy S8 in several different color options, including gold.
So far, rumors suggest the Galaxy S8 will come in Black Sky, Orchid Grey, and Arctic Silver color options. However, gold is a common color for Samsung flagship smartphones. Leaks show that all models of the Galaxy S8 may have a black front panel, while their sides and back panels will feature a specific color option. The leaks also reaffirm that the Galaxy S8 will likely release with no home button and thin bezels. There is no word on just what the gold color option will be called, one name Samsung has used in the past has been Gold Platinum.
While Samsung has not confirmed color options for the Galaxy S8, other rumors suggest the device may also come in an Amethyst Purple color option. There is no word on whether Samsung will also include common colors such as white. Pundits were expecting the device to release in a color similar to the Blue Coral option featured on the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7. However, there is no indication of the Galaxy S8 releasing in such a color. Still, Samsung is known for introducing new color options for its flagships after devices are on the market.
The Black Sky color option appears to have a glossy finish similar to the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge, which Samsung released after Apple launched it’s glossy black iPhone 7. The Orchid Gray color option is a light gray with a purple-ish tint. The gold color option is a light gold similar to the shade of the Galaxy S7 Active, a Twitter user in Blass’ comments section noted.
Details about the Galaxy S8 will be confirmed March 29, when Samsung unveils the device at an Unpacked event in New York City.
