Samsung Galaxy View Tablet With 18.4-Inch Display Leaked: Check Out Full Specifications, Price, Photos
The terminology “kitchen tablets” has started gaining momentum in the tech world. For instance, Alcatel’s OneTouch Xess, Sony’s Tablet Z Kitchen edition and QOOQ Touch tablet have been the pioneers in this category. Following the trend, Samsung’s Galaxy View is reportedly gearing up for release.
Upcoming Samsung Galaxy View is an 18.4-inch display clad humongous tablet. This device was unwittingly listed by Adorama for a brief period of time for preorder. The listing also revealed full configuration details and price of the new slate.
GSM Arena apparently picked up the Galaxy View specifications when the page was live in Adorama. According to the site, the 18.4-inch display clad device will flaunt a Full HD screen resolution and this combination translates to a pixel density of 120 ppi. Under the hood, Samsung’s Exynos 7580 SoC will be powering the device and will be backed by 2 GB of RAM.
When it comes to memory specification, the tablet will apparently come equipped with 32 GB of native storage capacity and microSD card slot for further expansion of up to 128 GB. Being a humongous laptop-like tablet, there is no rear-facing camera unit. However, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter with Full HD video recording support will be part of the device.
The Galaxy View will be able to support quad-band 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and Cat.6 LTE. According to GSM Arena, Samsung could make a Wi-Fi-only model at some point. A 5,700 mAh battery unit will be housed in the tablet and this cell is capable of providing 8.5 hours of video playback.
Speaking of Galaxy View price, GSM Arena citing the now-defunct preorder page of Adorama says, the device will set the buyers back by $599. In any case, readers should note that Samsung has not confirmed the specifications or price of the Galaxy View tablet thus far.
