Sarah Ferguson was recently mocked after saying that she and Meghan Markle have an extraordinary link.

On the “Jeremy Vine” show, columnist Dawn Neesom took a dig at the Duchess of York for saying that she has been in the Duchess of Sussex’s shoes.

“Well, Fergie’s problem was keeping her shoes on and having her toes sucked, wasn’t it?!” he said.

Decades ago, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife made headlines after photos of her and business tycoon John Bryan made frontpage news. In the snap, Bryan appeared to be sucking Fergie’s toes.

Ferguson’s photo did not only bring shame to her personal life but also to the entire royal family. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth were both enraged to see the Duchess of York canoodling with another man while she was still legally married to Prince Andrew.

Shortly after the incident, Fergie and Prince Andrew were urged to finalize their divorce.

On ITV’s “The Royal Wives of Windsor,” royal expert Dickie Arbiter said that Ferguson didn’t think that someone would take her photos during that compromising moment.

“Okay, you don’t expect somebody to crawl through the bushes to take photographs of you topless while your financial advisor is sucking your toes. You don’t expect that but by the same token you don’t go away with somebody that isn’t your husband and sunbathe topless,” he said.

Years after the incident, Ferguson revealed what really happened to her and Bryan at that time. She said that the business tycoon was pretending to try the slippers on her foot just like Cinderella.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife recently talked about Markle during her interview with Vogue Arabia. She said that she knows exactly what Prince Harry’s wife is going through with the media scrutiny that she is facing.

Ferguson also called Markle modern and fabulous and said that everyone should celebrate her and not criticize her for being great.
