‘Scandal’ Season 6 Spoilers: Olivia Realizes Cyrus Didn’t Have Frankie Assassinated In Episode 4 Promo [VIDEO]
Even an expert like Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) can still make grave mistakes.
In “Scandal” Season 6, episode 4, titled “The Belt,” Olivia may realize that she was wrong for pinning the murder of Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) on Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry). In the promo released by ABC for the episode, Olivia tells Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) that she’s certain Cyrus was responsible for having Frankie assassinated. After all, Tom (Brian Letscher) confessed to killing Frankie after Cyrus ordered him to do so.
After Cyrus was sent to prison, Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) is elated that she could become the next president of the United States by default. And since Olivia was the one who ran her campaign, she is equally excited for their win. However, the lead character’s conscience will keep bugging her. During her phone call with Cyrus, President Fitzgerald Grant’s (Tony Goldwyn) former main man tells Olivia that he isn’t responsible for having Frankie assassinated. Olivia and the Gladiators will also uncover some surprising information about the night of Frankie’s demise.
A series of flashbacks from the previous episode showed how loyal Cyrus is to the late governor. In fact, during his conversation with Tom, Cyrus told the creepy character that Frankie was the only one who had his back. Frankie also supported him and wanted to pursue great things with him, and that was why he asked him to be his vice president. As such, the biggest mystery in this week’s episode of “Scandal” Season 6 still involves the identity of Frankie’s killer.
“Scandal” Season 6, episode 4 will air on ABC on Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
