School rejects George Sodini's $225K estate gift
The University of Pittsburgh says Tuesday it won't accept George Sodini's estate gift.
Sodini committed suicide on August 4 after killing three women and wounding nine others at a Pittsburgh-area health club.
His estate is reportedly worth $225,000. University spokesman Robert Hill rejected the offer on Tuesday.
Court papers of the intended estate gift were filed last Friday by Michael Sodini of Mars, the brother and executor for 48-year-old George Sodini.
Jody Billingsley, Heidi Overmier and Elizabeth Gannon were killed in the LA Fitness shooting , and nine other women were injured.
Two women injured intend to sue Sodini's estate. Lisa Marie Fleeher and Ashley Ferragonio filed notices Tuesday in Allegheny County court.
George Sodini, who graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 1992, named the school as sole beneficiary in a 2007 will.
