Scott Eastwood On Rumored Feud Between Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson And Vin Diesel On ‘Fast 8’ Set
Scott Eastwood is not privy to the rumored feud between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel on the set of “Fast 8.”
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Eastwood said that he was unaware of any tension between Johnson and Diesel while filming the upcoming installment of the “Fast and the Furious” franchise.
“I don't know anything about that stuff,” the 30-year-old actor told the news outlet, before adding that he actually had fun making the movie.
Eastwood, who plays a law enforcement agent in the F. Gary Gray-directed film, shared that working on the big screen project was more of a family gathering than an actual acting gig.
He revealed that they had barbeques almost every day on set. “We'd go run out and shoot a scene and come back and listen to music and eat grilled chicken,” Clint Eastwood’s son shared.
According to TMZ, Diesel and Johnson were embroiled in some sort of beef on set when the “xXx” actor confronted the semi-retired wrestler about his Instagram post, in which he called some of his male co-stars unprofessional.
Although Johnson didn’t include any names in his now-infamous post, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the semi-retired wrestler was referring to Diesel.
An insider told Entertainment Tonight that there were times when Diesel arrived late on the set and that pissed off not only Johnson but also other members of the cast and crew.
TMZ reported that Diesel went to Johnson’s trailer to ask him about the social media post, and although they spoke, their issues hadn’t been resolved. However, in Johnson and Diesel’s recent Instagram posts, the two seemed to have moved on from the rumored feud.
In addition to Eastwood, Johnson and Diesel, “Fast 8” also stars franchise regulars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Kristofer Hivju and Helen Mirren.
“Fast 8” opens in theaters on April 14, 2017.
