Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici Pregnant, 'Bachelor' Stars Welcoming Baby No. 2
"Bachelor" nation is expanding once again, as Season 17 couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are expecting their second baby together!
Giudici, 31, made the announcement on her Instagram page Friday, sharing adorable posts featuring her and their son, Samuel, together on the couch. Samuel sits in her lap in both a photo and a video, which Giudici captioned as "BABA NUMBA TWO."
In the video, Samuel, who was born in 2016, says "baba" as Giudici points at her stomach and asks her son what's there.
The couple has previously been forthcoming about their desire to expand their family, telling Us Weekly back in October that Samuel didn't know there was a chance he would be getting a sibling someday, and admitted that they were hoping to do give him that second sibling sooner rather than later because they didn't want their kids to be more than two years apart in age, as they each were with their own siblings.
"We're cutting it close!" Giudici admitted at the time.
The two, who met during Lowe's season starring as "The Bachelor," married in a televised ceremony in Jan. 2014, and still remain as the only couple from the franchise who are still together and with the person who was chosen during the final rose ceremony. Jason Mesnick and his wife, Molly Malaney, are also still together, though he had initially picked Melissa Rycroft over her and then changed his mind during his season's "After the Rose" special. Other than those two, the men who have starred as "The Bachelor" have all ended their relationships with the woman they chose, including Nick Viall, who chose Vanessa Grimaldi as his future wife earlier this year. The two later called it quits in August.
In an interview with International Business Times back in June, the couple also discussed their lives as parents, and admitted that they hoped to one-day revisit some of the locations where their love story unfolded on the show with their kids, because it would be special to share that history with them.
"Those locations are very special to us, just outside of that they're probably two of the most beautiful places that I've ever visited in the world, so I think it would be fun to go back as a family," Lowe said at the time. "Maybe in a few years when Samuel actually knows where he is and what not, but that would be great."
