“Bachelor” Season 14 winner Vienna Girardi is now ready to talk about the miscarriage she had at 18 weeks. The reality star emotionally gushed about the struggle of trying to not think about the upsetting incident.

On Thursday’s episode of “The Doctors,” Girardi opened up what it’s like to lose her twins. “For the most part, I try my hardest not to think about it, but everyday I get in the elevator and there’s a lady in my building who’s pregnant and I stare at her belly the entire elevator ride up,” she said.

The 31-year-old TV personality also shared that she feels her longing for her twins when she’s around other kids. “Every time I hold my goddaughter or hold my niece, I don’t want to let them go,” she said before admitting that these things make it hard for her to forget the miscarriage. “Everyday there’s just constant reminders that I’m trying so hard to try to move past it, but it seems impossible to stop thinking about it.”

In early June, Girardi proudly announced that she’s pregnant with two babies. She broke the news on Instagram by posting a photo (now deleted) of an ultrasound with labels “Twin A” and “Twin B.” She even wrote “Twice the blessing twice the fun” at the time, according to E! News.

It was found out during Girardi’s pregnancy that she’s experiencing twin to twin transfusion syndrome, a condition wherein the blood supply of one twin goes to the other through the placenta. Despite already knowing about the condition, Girardi was optimistic because “every ultrasound came out pretty good,” according to her.

“I was going into my 5th month and we thought we were in the clear. i started getting my nursery together and I had a gender reveal party and I picked out their names,” she said. Unluckily, the unimaginable happened at 18 weeks. “I was sitting on my couch and my water broke.”

Girardi’s doctors reportedly advised Girardi to go into induced labor, but she refused the proposition in an attempt to save her twins, People has learned. “After a few days I went into septic shock [and] I couldn’t feel them anymore.” After checking through an ultrasound, it was found out that the “Bachelor” alum had already lost her twins.

Following the miscarriage, Girardi admitted that she started fearing the idea of not being able to get pregnant again, as per Us Weekly. “I remember one of the first things talking to my mom and asking her was, ‘Am I going to be able to get pregnant again?’” Fortunately, the doctor told her mother that it’s very possible for her to get pregnant again.
