Search Underway For Naked Man Who Jogs With His Dog Wearing Only Shoes

Police are on the hunt for a man who has been jogging in nothing but running shoes in Spokane, Washington.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has received reports about witnesses spotting the naked man jogging in the Minnehaha Park-Beacon Hill area on different occasions. The police said the incidents were recently reported; however, witness accounts have led them to believe the man ran without any clothes several times between late summer and December last year, according to the News Tribune.

A woman claimed she initially saw the man clothed on multiple occasions last summer; he was wearing typical running attire at the time. However, the woman eventually started seeing the man jogging in the nude with only running shoes. She also said he would have a medium-sized dog with him on the run, as reported by KXLY.

The woman spoke to the police and said she saw the naked jogger again last December while she was training and doing repeated inclines. She said the man was running with his dog at the time.

“He was completely naked except for running shoes, arm sleeves and a headlamp despite the approximate 35-degree temperature,” Spokane County Sheriff's Office said in a Monday statement on Facebook.

The woman also told the police she grew alarmed when the man’s actions grew more suspicious each time she passed him.

“As she repeatedly ran the portion of the trail where she was training, she passed the male several times but became increasingly alarmed when she noticed the male’s actions became more sexual in nature,” the sheriff’s office statement added.

Another victim also made similar statements while calling to report a naked man running with only footwear.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit Detective Brad Humphrey has begun investigating the reports and is asking the public for any information that could lead to finding the nude runner.

Authorities described the man as a tall individual with brown hair and an athletic build.

“If you have seen this naked male jogging in the Minnehaha Park-Beacon Hill area or have any information regarding this investigation, you are asked to contact Detective Humphrey at 509-477-3028,” the Spokane County Sheriff's Office said.
