See Meghan Markle's Engagement Ring From Fiancé Prince Harry [PHOTOS]

With the royal engagement between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now official, it’s time to get to some of the important details.

Mainly, what does her engagement ring look like and how was it chosen?

It turns out that not only is Prince Harry a royal, but he’s also royally good at designing engagement rings, as he was the one who did so for his fiancé, Markle.

The diamond ring was created with one stone from Botswana and two diamonds from his late mother’s, Diana’s, personal collection. The diamonds are connected by a gold band and was made by Cleave and Company.

Prince Harry used his late mother’s diamonds as a way to honor her, remember her and to keep her legacy going. He was not able to propose using her engagement ring, as his older brother Prince William used it to propose to Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

Nonetheless, the three-diamond ring is stunning and the perfect way to make their engagement official.

Before the prince could propose to Markle, though, he asked her parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, for permission, which they, of course, gave him. Not only that, but they are very happy about their daughter’s upcoming nuptials.

“We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents,” her parents said in a joint statement shared by the Kensington Palace. “We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.”

While there is not much information yet about the royal wedding that’s on its way, the couple has shared that it will take place in spring of 2018 and that after they are married, they will live in the Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

With the wedding coming up so soon, there will likely be more details about the upcoming event coming out in the not-too-distant future.
