(See the VIDEO) NBC cuts “Under God” Twice in Pledge of Allegiance, U.S. Open
NBC edited out the words under God in the pledge of allegiance, during an opening segment it ran for the U.S. Open. School children said the pledge of allegiance with patriotic images in the background and the words were left out.
During the first version, NBC cut out the words under God and indivisible. The second version cut out the words one nation as well.
Negative reaction from the edit was immediate from all circles.
NBC host Dan Hicks read a statement later in the coverage saying, It was not done to upset anyone and we'd like to apologize to those of you who were offended by it.
How do you feel about NBC's edit of the words Under God? What do you think about NBC's apology?
